¿Qué es CarePath?

CarePath es un proyecto europeo de investigación e innovación creado para ayudar a las personas que padecen enfermedades de larga duración a gestionar su tratamiento con eficacia y comodidad. Al ofrecer herramientas y recursos personalizados, el proyecto pretende mejorar la salud, el bienestar y la calidad de vida en general.

Gracias a los avances de la sanidad, muchas enfermedades crónicas pueden tratarse con éxito mediante medicación. Sin embargo, las investigaciones muestran que a muchas personas les resulta difícil continuar el tratamiento a lo largo del tiempo, a menudo por falta de apoyo, estigma social o presiones económicas.

CarePath abordará estos retos desarrollando un conjunto de herramientas flexibles y listas para usar, diseñadas para ayudar a las personas a gestionar sus medicamentos de forma que se adapten a sus necesidades y estilos de vida.

Dónde trabajamos

Trabajamos en toda Europa, y CarePath se está probando en seis sistemas sanitarios distintos. Estos proyectos piloto en el mundo real permiten al consorcio probar lo que funciona en diferentes entornos culturales, organizativos y políticos.

CarePath está financiado por la Iniciativa Sanitaria Innovadora (IHI) y cuenta con el apoyo del programa Horizonte Europa. Se trata de una asociación público-privada en la que participan universidades, proveedores de asistencia sanitaria, organizaciones de pacientes, pequeñas y medianas empresas (PYME) y socios industriales.
